Art project for school. Please ignore my messy desk...
The assignment was to make a box (with precut wood) and incorporate the mannequins somehow. My IB ART theme is romance so this piece features a knight rescuing a princess from her dungeon. I studied a bit on Renaissance art for clothing. You can't see the outside but its painted like a starry sky to symbolize infinity and all that fluff.
Yes, it's quite depressing.
Media: Acrylic paint, gel medium (for texture of the bricks), wood and wood glue, mannequins, old scraps of clothing, tacky glue (which is the most amazing glue ever unless you're trying to glue stuff to bobbypins), and two hinges.
Special thanks to the woodshop class for cutting my wood.

I thank you for those who like my art and think it is good but, I shouldn't take the credit for it was the Lord who gave me this talent so He should take all the credit. I'm just saying "Thank You" for Him! Avatar by ~Black-Cat-Virus

Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. Please read this article for more information on how you can participate!
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
